Amanda and I had another Thursday meeting – we worked on Episode 9, and recorded some VO for the end of 8. Re-wrote a large block of the 9 script to include things I’d left out. Picked out some music. And decided on the next teaser. Moving along.

We can’t wait to release the next episode. I didn’t realize how much I miss that feeling of excitement from the first few waves of reactions.

    Hey guys,
    that's awesome that you're releasing a new 'making of' soon. I'm quite fond of the artistic plot you develop in each one. That's got to be time-consuming if only the two of you are doing all the creative and technical work, while cutting the actual film.
  • Hey Zack :) I know, it's been way too long since the last one. I hope you like the new one, we tried to make it the best we could.

    It *can* be very time consuming, and very stressful at times.. but looking back on the things we've learned from doing them so far... I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's been an amazing learning experience... and I think helped me grow a lot as a person trying to make films.
  • Quick question, Mike. I know Pedal is an indie film, but you're breaking it down into episodes? How does that work?

  • hey john, i find that mike talks in circles sometimes. so if any of that didn't make sense to you, don't be affraid to ask us to clarify. :)
  • Hey John :) Thanks for the comment - yea, Pedal is an indie film, well, the name of the actual film is 'For Thousands of Miles'... but the episodes that we're releasing online are simple the making-of.

    The first five episodes were a "how, what, how, when" kind of thing - for people to understand what we were trying to do.

    And now, the '64 Days' series are all just a what happened on the road during filming last summer.

    Although we do plan on also releasing the feature film online - but that won't be cut up :)

  • Hey Lori :) Thanks - yea, I'm feeling pretty anxious lately about it. For example... I'm up at 6 in the morning... for who knows why, but I'm probably going to give into insomnia and edit some more :P
