You're right...you would have to be a dork to get anything out of what you just said. And you know me...I'm still learning the computer and I'll never get all that!

    Just nice "seeing" you

    Love, mom
  • I was waiting for someone to call me on being a geek :P
  • thanks for the Evernote reference. I'll be using that on my next group project for a client site.
  • Hey Jon :) Yea, I'm in love with Evernote, so handy! You know what else is awesome about it - if you add an image to one of your notebooks... Evernote scans the image for text and it all becomes searchable. It's snazzy.

That's good news. Hopefully your new laptop will put an end to those Firewire drive problems -- and no more duct-tape!

You can reduce the wear and tear of your new FW connector with a male to female wear-saver. Fewer mates and demates should extend the life of the connector contacts. But don't keep it installed if you put it in a laptop bag, because any sideways forces on the wear-saver could torque the connector and fracture solder joints.

  • Hey Wayne :) Yes, it has for sure. All the ports actually are much, much tighter. The USB and the Firewire 800 really snap into place. There is no more wiggling out while working.
